Happy Dragon in Pecos

Great service with good food! The portions are large; they call it dinner portions so if you'd like smaller portions ask for lunch portions! Everything we've tried has been good! I love love their chocolate cake!! One more tip I will add is they carry Pepsi drinks not coca cola buuut it's no big deal for me bc they still had an off brand Dr. Pepper which still makes me happy ! And I've never had my change stolen here. I dont know why reviewers are saying this. I come here all the time with mt family of 4.

My wife and I were seated in an area where some parts of the ceiling was exposed due to a water leak. As we were finishing, a piece of the ceiling tile fell on the floor next to me. The food was excellent.

Good food and also plate portion for price was fair for its value at 11.95 a plate. Waitress needs to have a good customer service attitude seemed in such a rush.😉

Good service and good food. I liked their orange chicken and crab rangoons. It took less than 10 minutes for them to get my order out as well.

Best Chinese food in Pecos. I always get good food from here. I enjoy the Hunan Chicken and the salt and pepper shrimp. Very generous portions

At here when I was in town. Food is alright I guess nothing to write home about. Place is inside a hotel pretty clean. Staff is friendly restaurant is pretty small but service was good. Portions wasn’t worthy the price especially when I ask for extra me (for a charge of course) and still get a tiny portion. Makes me question what the regular meal portions are.

It's really small in the dining room. I ordered sesame chicken & they didn't have sesame seeds. Their fried rice had no flavor & it was plain. It's not like other restaurants where it has vegetables & chicken in it. The chicken they used for their dish called "The General" was supposed to be spicy. It was not at all, had to put sriracha sauce on it to get some flavor. By the way, it's a menu selection NOT a buffet.

For a place like Pecos to have the quality of restaurant like this is surprising. The lunch menu was comparable to others in the area and portions are large. I had an entree off the lunch menu and was honestly shocked at how much food was on the plate. The food was flavorful and tasty. Don't expect an amazing experience but for good, quality Chinese food in a place like Pecos, you'd be hard pressed to find a restaurant better. In fact, aside from Pody's, I'd say it's the best place in town. I hope this helps someone.

Food is usually pretty good. The lunch specials are very reasonable and it comes with soup and an egg roll or crab rangoon. The service cab be hit or miss. The soups are pretty good. I just had the War Won Ton soup and it was very good. I work here in Pecos and ear here about once a week.

I am mad at myself for taking this long to come to this place. I am not sure what the negative reviews are all about! I was a sceptic when I first arrived and after reading reviews. The food is delicious and fresh tasting. It is an ample amount of food especially for the price. You won't leave this place hungry for sure! Try it out fairly and judge it on the food, you won't be disappointed.

Everything was fresh 👌 only waited 15 min ordered Kung Pao shrimp so darn good will be coming back

Was one of the best places in town until I found a bug in my tea then when they replaced my drink my food came out and began eating. Then after a free bites I found a bugs leg in my second drink. I pointed it out to the waitress and didn't have to pay for my food.

I feel really mixed about leaving this place a 3. I have been there 5 times but only ate there 3 because of the inattentive staff. That's everywhere in the Permian Basin ... I get it. But if you want a quick meal for lunch or dinner, this place is not for you. All that said, the food is pretty good (the first day).My leftovers the next day tasted like it had aged a week! They were promptly disposed of.

Food was hot and fresh. Beer was cold and refreshing. Service was great. Dining area was well lit and clean.

Veggies were fresh but the sauce was not great. It lacked flavor and spice. 3 star just because it was open when a lot of other restaurants were closed on a Sunday evening

Food was incredible, the General Tsaos chicken was top notch. Also the most awkward dining experience I’ve ever had. Packed with two servers and a line in a very lit room with no ambient noise except a TV playing. Everyone seemed uncomfortable to talk at all.

Ordered kung pao chicken, I was given kung pso combo instead, I'm alergic to shell fish had to throw the whole thing out. I'm glad I'll only be here a couple of days so I never have to bother with them getting my order wrong again.

I ordered the General Tao's Chicken with beef fried rice and it was good. I've had better and paid a lot less for it in other cities. Buy it was good.

The quality of the food has gone down. It ised to be good, but its just not the same as it used to be. I wont be returning.

Use to be one of my favorites, they changed the cook you could tell the difference in the evening

Fried rice was ok (no peas and carrots so that was good), sweet and sour chicken was alright. Nothing to rave about, but its West Texas so 🤷‍♀️. Take what you can get.

We were very Happy, the place is very clean, the food and service was excellent. We are from Ohio and will stop again when we are thru. The place to eat is small but they have more space on the other side. Located inside the Quality Inn. The amount of food was a lot. The crab Rangoo was enormous with lots of filling.

Dang good Chinese food in a hotel lobby in Pecos Texas, most bang for your buck in this area hands down.

The 'quality' is really good.Portions are fairly large. If you don't like large portions, just let your server know. It's worth trying.

You're definitely not going to walk away hungry, always enough for a to go box. Who doesn't like coming home after a night out and remembering there's leftover Chinese in the fridge... yeaow!

Pictured is the spicy calamari, which was cooked well, tasted good but the texture was a little inconsistent. The house chicken fried rice was really good, atmosphere was alright and they do have fortune cookies so I was happy. Price was about average for pecos.

Now when we pulled up I was thinking to myself where did they bring me to eat lunch? Walked in to the restaurant area and was seated almost immediately. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Although there was only 1 waitress for the whole restaurant my glass was never empty and she was constantly walking around constantly asking all the guest if they needed anything. Our food came out in under 6 minutes and was really good. I ordered the Mongolian beef and my only complaint was the meat to vegetables. The meal had about ³/⁴ vegetables and ¹/⁴ meat. Everything else was great and I will eat there again.

The staff were in a hurry (I did visit during the lunch rush) but were still friendly and calm. It is a seat yourself establishment with plenty of room for a couple of big parties. The food is delicious and odd good variety. I would recommend this to my family and friends.
